Read in the Jamaica Observer today that the West End road has been damaged from the cold front. Rob, do you know how bad is it and where the worst spots are? Thanks in advance!

It is only the seawall that suffered wave damage 4 years ago and got thrashed this time. About a 20 foot part is missing. It is messy but continually passable.
A quick fix was done 4 years ago and had it been fixed properly this could have been avoided.
The other temporary fix in front of Mi Yard is gone and has left many potholes which makes for slow going.

Follow up after the Prime Minister's visit on Saturday:
"The Prime Minister, in response, has pledged that his administration will be moving to quickly have the matter addressed, but he cautioned at the same time that, while this project is an emergency, it nevertheless "has to go through procurement process."
As a result, he conceded, those who use the road "will be inconvenienced for some time, but not a very long time."

Sounds like a typical Politician....inconvenienced for sometime, but not a very long time....LMAO !
Hopefully they get it fixed before the next storm and it becomes an emergency that doesn't have to go through the procurement process.
West End Road -- mostly it is not a problem - been there frequently - one area needs repair but not so bad
