    Sips n Bites

Last year was our first trip since Covid.
Most of our favorite haunts were still going strong which we were happy to see.

Sadly though one of our favorite breakfast places (Sips n Bites) was closed our entire stay.

Has ?Sip n Bites? closed for good?

Other changes we noticed, the vibe at Sea Star seemed way off. This is usually one of our favorite dinner/hang out places. It seemed the old bounce/Joie de vivre was missing.

Happy to report Mi Yard was as pleasant as times past and Red Dragon still had the coldest beer.

    Re: Sips n Bites

Covid followed by the inflation took its toll. But Sip&Bites is still open, but may have been closed due to the lack of water on the West End. People and small businesses without tanks setup had zero water supply.

But a WhatsApp group of residents started by Lenbert Williams is trying to Make Negril Awesome by directing addressing the government on issues such as water, roads and garbage collection.

If nothing happens of substance today in meetings with our MP Morland Wilson and Minister Samuda, a peaceful protest will be staged next week.

If you are in town on the beach next week, you are invited to take pictures and videos to post on Instagram, FB, YouTube, TikTok and here to help spread the word internationally that the West End residents are without water. You are also invited to join the March as well. It's going to be peaceful, smart and efficient. It will not last long as to not hinder business or your stay in anyway. But if you can post pictures and videos, it will spread the information worldwide!

Thanks for your help. The march will not be announced in advance, but keep your ears open on the beach as the word will be spreading very quickly for you to help the residents of the West End!

    Rob,
You're one of Negril's most effective ambassadors.
Thank you for that detailed response.
I wish I could march with you (we won't be down until the end of April).
