Connie's closed?

I was just reading another thread and saw a very reliable source say that Connie's was closed.
This is sad news.
Connie's is (was?) one of our favorite haunts.

Prior to reading about Connie's, in a separate post, I read that the west end is having issues with access to water and that it may impact west end businesses.
Are these two issues related?

Connie's County Western Roadside Bar had to close. Doctor's orders. Connie's taking appointments for dinners at her house, but the old ten square feet of Texas finally had to close to keep Connie with us.

The two issues are completely unrelated.
