My Canadian passport expires on August 15 2025. I am traveling to Negril Jan. 27-Feb. 10 2025. Should I get a new passport or do you think my passport will be good and get a new one next year. I thought I had heard if your passport expires within 6 months of your travel dates you might be refused. Mine doesn't expire within 6 months of travel but it is close.

Ger...I've traveled with my passport expiring a week after my return without any problems.
Would I ever recommend that...absolutely not! Too many variables & too close for comfort.
But, you'll have no issues as you're within the six month window. I wouldn't even give your scenario a second thought. Enjoy!

From the Consulate General of Jamaica in Toronto. You must have a passport valid for 6 months from the date of entry. I guess as a Canadian you can stay in Jamaica for as long as 6 months, so they don't want your passport to expire while you're are here.
