Sunday November 10th we were making our way to Calvary Baptist Church in Strath Bogie a little town on the other side of Sav. It takes us 3 route taxis to get there. Usually the hardest one to get is from the entrance of Home Sweet Home to the taxi park but it only took a few minutes before a red plate stopped for us. It wasn't long before we were in a route taxi to Sav. There were 3 people in the back and four of us in the middle seat, me with half of my behind on the seat by the door and half off. There was a young Jamaican guy in the front passenger seat and I commented to him my uncomfortable position and we both chuckled about it. A few moments later a large women got in the front middle seat forcing the young Jamaican guy to the same circumstance as me and we chuckled once again. With 10 of us in the van (including the driver) we took off. All of us were going to Sav so there were no stops. The driver could have been a star in NASCAR. I think we went through Little London at 80 KPH! Once in Sav we found that the taxi park had moved a block away and a helpful lady directed us to the right place. As we approached a lady told us to get in her taxi as it was going to Strath Bogie. She was a member of the church we were going to and recognized us. Once at the church we greeted by many of the people we had met over the years. The church music vacillates between old hymns and Christian Jamaican "get your body movin" music. The preaching was solid but the services run long. I had Gospel tracts printed for the church which their members give out to those they meet. On the ride back to Negril we were again 10 in a van with non existent shocks for most of the journey. We walked to Hammond's for a couple of patties and then a taxi back to HSH. Shortly after that people were asking if we felt the earthquake just before 11 AM. Well we were in the NASCAR route taxi and the only thing we felt were potholes!

Bob
