    hey-mon,

Thanks for the trip reports and photos. Negril has priced itself out of being viable. Way too much greed there in my opinion. Before they know it they will have killed the Golden Goose. The NBC at one time was really a great place as was T-Water and even Gloria's Sunset Cottages. Belmont looks like a good Bet with very nice beaches nearby. Bluefields was always a great beach too.
Treasure Beach is the place to go in my opinion although a beach like 7-mile is unique to one place only. Sorry to hear about Kory and his wife!! **** happens as we all know. They have a daughter who was Beauty Pageant worthy as a youngster and a son who I believe both went a foreign!! Janette I really didn't know except she seemed somehow to be the glue that kept everything together there. If you want to go fishing and catch fish check out Talla who knows Kory well. He always catches a boatload of Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Tuna, etc... You don't go fishing with him, you go catching!! So sorry to hear about the mash up with the folks from BC!! What an F en tragedy!! The Treasure Beach community with track down the hit and run driver as they want nothing to ruin the Runnings there. Is Perry Henzell's son Jason still holding court at his movie night?? Anyway thanks for the report and have fun!! John

We?re planning on being there in March after a 3-year absence. We know that it will not be as we remember it when it comes to facilities and attractions but we expect to find the people there as wonderful as they have ever been, despite all of the horrible challenges that they have faced and will continue to face. We can?t wait to be there again.

Hi Johng - We are supposed to go for 2 weeks in February again but that is up in the air. I think hey_mon is supposed to head to Ja sometime in January TB is still without power and things there are pretty bad but at least some aid has gotten to them. My friends tell me the worst part is the darkness and bugs. After all they went through last year to have to do it all over again is so sad. They are a tough bunch though and they will be fine but it may take a lot longer than last year's hurricane to get things back. My friends text me and ask how we are doing - I laugh and tell them I really cannot complain about anything after talking to them and seeing pictures. I hear the road is pretty bad around Anchovy and not to drive it at night. So, we are keeping our fingers crossed and we will just wait and see. I just wish they can get power restored soon - that would make everything so much better.

sunchaser - Enjoy. TB really has not changed much in the past three years, a couple restaurants have come and gone, but still same vibe and same great people.

    Rumghoul,
Great hearing from and am glad to know you are well. Despite the challenges faced in America at the moment it isn't nearly as bad as what Jamaica is facing!! So be happy for what you have!!

I've seen video of Jakes which got mashed up pretty good so I assume that many other locals got hit hard also!! I hope you and hey_mon's travel plans succeed!!
