I think that Charella, all things considered, is the best bet on Negril Beach. Unless something drastic has happened regarding erosion on Long Bay in general, Charella's beachfront is as good as it gets on the entire 7 mile Beach. The accommodations have always been clean and a fair bargain, with updates and expansion over the years. Whenever a friend or person asks me for a recommendation on a place to stay in Negril I immediately suggest Charella Inn. Many Europeans really enjoy the vibes and architecture there, and I have had nothing but positive feedback regarding their visits. They have a farm-to-table situation regarding produce for their kitchen/restaurant, leading to their wonderful offerings at meal times. I have never heard about hot water issues there but that would be the least of my worries.
