West End Day Trip

My husband and I are returning to Negril this December and this time, we are staying exclusively on the beach. Normally, we split the trip between cliffs and beach. We'd like to spend one day on the cliffs. I've contacted a couple hotels where we've stayed before but I'm told the pool is for registered hotel guests only. Any idea where we can plant ourselves next to the pool, eat, drink and swim in the sea for the day? Xtabi is a possibility, but the pool isn't on the cliffside.

We have used the pool at Le Mirage without being a guest but that was many years ago so I'm not sure now. Going back a couple of years ago we walked into Begona Hotel (beside Peewee's) and they said we were welcome to use the pool and pool deck just as long as we were buying at the bar and/or restaurant, but again that was a few years ago. I think Begona might be your best bet. Maybe message them at reservations@begonacliffhotel.com

Westender, last I heard just buy drinks and food. Ocean view pool. They have a van and may provide transportation cheaper than a private taxi. You can ask your driver to take the back way over the hills (quicker than westend road). When you reach the coast the view from up there is amazing! Then down the hill to westender.
