Found this post by White Sands on the trip advisor forum. Has me concerned because we are arriving there exactly 4 weeks from today. Talk on the other forum is that it has been sold and will be made into condos. Anybody have any info on this?

A New Chapter for White Sands and Our Family

When my parents started White Sands in 1970 with just four cottages, their vision was simple: to create a true "home away from home." We never imagined it would grow to 44 rooms, but for over five decades, we have poured our hearts and souls into this place we are blessed to call home.

White Sands? success is truly thanks to two special groups: our outstanding staff and, you, our cherished guests. We are deeply grateful for your support and loyalty.

To our staff, you were the soul of this operation. Your hard work and kindness made this hotel special. Simply put: we couldn?t have done it without you.

To our guests, we?ve watched generations grow, celebrated your milestones, and made lifelong friends?these are priceless gifts we will forever cherish.

As much as this has been a labor of love, it requires 24/7 care. Now is the time for us to step back, focus our energy on our family and ourselves, and start a new chapter. While we leave with a big hole in our hearts, we are choosing to focus on the countless wonderful memories you?ve helped us create.

I have not heard anything about condos
But I do know nothing will change this winter season

Ok, this is the 2nd time I saw a reference to that rumor/announcement. So I decided to call the White Sands office. The woman in the office hasn't heard anything official from ownership yet but she assured me that current reservations within this season will be honored. She also told me to call back and talk to Francis to get more information (I thought he retired but I guess he's still around).

Yes, I inquired about Francis a month or so ago and they said he is still around. Let us know what you find out Jer.

Well I got an email from the office today telling me that there is new management, but our reservations will be honored.
