They need the revenue we bring now more than ever. We are awaiting room confirmation and then are booking flights. They need help rebuilding their homes, but there are no supplies (Concrete blocks, plywood, tin, tarps). What is available has gone up in cost (supply vs demand). It will take time for shipments to arrive. Jamaicans can't wallow around at home waiting for supplies, they need something to do other than sitting around in destruction, some normalcy. Hopefully all the aid in Jamaica and on its way along with the $150M Jamaica has coming from hurricane insurance will make it to dem people.

    Go Bills!

Please come to Jamaica! My husband is in Negril now. He’s on a personal mission to provide help to a very good friend that works in Negril but lives in Sav.
No problems driving to Negril from MBJ… probably the quickest he’s gotten through the airport and the drive to Negril was quick - landing to hotel…1 hour 45 minutes!
Please don’t cancel your trip. They NEED tourism to help them get back on their feet! If you cancel, the hotels will cut their jobs and then they will have no means to eat or repair/replace their homes. 9 out of 10 people hubby spoke to at the hotel had lost their homes or had serious damage.
My husband went to Sav yesterday. Sav lost their main substation for electricity…completely destroyed. Sav won’t have power for months. He helped our friend get the generator setup to get his refrigerator working & to be able to charge phones, batteries etc…
They drove through Whitehouse, Treasure Beach, & Bluefields. The devastation in these areas is unimaginable…Hubby had an extra tarp to give to his friends uncle as he lives in this area. His roof had blown off and a tree fell & destroyed the back of his home.
Jamaica needs help! If you can go, bring extra cash for tips or bring some supplies, it will be GREATLY appreciated!
