    Country Country

We have reservations for Country Country Nov 30 - Dec 12. According to all the "scheduled openings" list they were supposed to be open as of yesterday. I emailed them yesterday and they said they weren't open because they don't have water or electricity. They told me to check back on the 20th to see the status of the resort. They also said they are 90% sure they will be open by the end of the month.

So, don't trust all the lists saying when a resort will be open. Make sure to check with the resort directly. they is so much misinformation out there on the internet!

Yes, it is true there is no electric in Negril. The hotels that are open are running on generators. I can't be 100% positive, but it seems that the beach road has water, even some of the small restaurants. You are correct, contact your hotel to see if and when they will open. We had been scheduled for Home Sweet Home but when we walked there yesterday we knew they wouldn't be ready until after we left Jamaica. So we extended our stay at Coco la Palm.
    Regards,
    Bob
