I was a bit surprised that I didn't see more damage up in Red Ground. There are number of concrete structures, so that helped a lot. We stopped at our friend Markie's dwelling, an old 2 room wood place. A tree had fallen on part of it and tore off some of the zinc. But the sage of Red Ground was quite philosophical when he told the story how the house was shaking so much when the tree fell and that the tree helped hold the house down instead of blowing away while he was still inside.
