    November 18 Deep West End

We started the day taking route taxi's all the was out to Jus' Natural. We got there about 9:15 but they were not open. We walked down to Barney's Hummingbird Garden where we take a trip every year. The garage door next to the entrance was wide open so we went in and called for Barney numerous times. So we just sat in the garden watching the hummingbirds figuring he would soon come back. After an hour and forty five minutes we left. There was a chair in his garage that he obviously sat in all the time, So we put the entrance few on the chair, covered it with a small piece of cloth, then put a large piece of wood on top. I'm sure when he came back he wondered who put the wood there then was surprised when he moved it. Anyway, it was the best hummingbird sightings we have had in a couple of years. He did have some damage to his structure and some of the foliage too. We stopped back at Jus' Natural and called for Theresa and Christine but no one answered. It was hard to get a fix on the damage along the West End road as we were moving along in the route taxi.

    Regards,
    Bob
