It is being reported that Miss Sonia, of Miss Sonia's Patties, passed away this morning. She was in the hospital in Sav since the middle of the month, having problems that were diagnosed as stage 4 cancer. We didn't know her well, but enjoyed meals at her restaurant for years and always enjoyed just visiting with her. She was religious and demonstrated her faith by feeding the hungry. She had a lot of difficulties over the last few months - her house burned to the ground in August due to an electrical fire, then the huricane, then the health issues - but remained positive.
