    Road to Negril

How is the road this week? I heard it was a little slow. We get in this weekend but wanted to make sure what time we could arrive to Negril to meet some friends....didn't want to keep them waiting. ha.

When do you arrive is key to that answer…. Day and relative time make all the difference.. private trans or bus etc .?

Our good friend from Sav is picking us up at Montego Bay around 3:20pm. I had heard there was lots of water on the roads but was wondering if that changed.

3:20pm is a tough time to try and get out of MoBay, especially if you're coming in on a friday (I once took 2 hours to just get out of Mobay in friday afternoon traffic). So I'd give your meet up time some slack...

Tell your friends to meet at a small bar on Beach road. That way they can sit and enjoy an icy cold Red Stripe in case you are delayed. Left Hand Bar would be my choice as they have pork on Fridays.

A couple of things though, if your friend from Sav to driving to MoBay, I would not recommend driving over the hills. The road is almost underivable between Montpelier and Anchovy. It's an extra hour to drive to Negril and then on to MoBay but IMHO it's worth it for not wrecking your vehicle. The water you are refering to is probably the flooding in Lucea but I belive the water is now gone.
