    Current "Benchmark" prices in Negril

Soon come for another visit. It's been a while since last reach. In trying to gauge current prices in Negril, I always use the price of a half chicken from the barrel men, and Maureen's price for a cold Red Stripe at Sunnyside Bar. Anybody know the current prices of these two "benchmark" items? . Thanks!

This past January on the beach road, 1/2 of smaller chicken + slice of hard dough bread was $3,000j. In same time 2025, price was $2,400J and same time 2024 price was $2,000J. Note: In front of The Jungle, the prices were even higher. As a Canadian long time tourist and at $100J= $1CDN, it equates to $30CDN for 1/2 chicken + bread for this year.($20US)

    Yikes!

I thought two years ago that prices were high. We will be there in November and I am worried about the prices. I realize costs have went up but at the same time, as consumers, we have choices.
