we are stayin at ROOMS again, they do offer fridges to rent, but never available, we would like to buy a descent hard plastic cooler to hold about 15 rred stripes and 1 bottle of water for lisa, then leave it with our ja friend/driver till our next trip, any suggestions?, soon come
You can purchase good ones at MegaMart on the way in to Negril from the airport. You can get booze, drinks and ice at MegaMart - so you can have full artillery at your disposal before you leave the parking lot... and there is an ATM machine inside the store to make it just that much easier... oh....
And they also exchange US$ at a decent rate....
This is what you could call a "no-brainer"... (grin)

When you turn right off of the "Hip Strip" and onto the road by the KFC and Pizza Hut (heading towards the Shell station), it is about a half mile or so down the road - a few lights - then it will be on your left by the new stadium.

Our last trip, we brought a cooler on wheels as one of our pieces of checked luggage - we left it with Alfred when he took us back to the Airport and he is going to bring it when he picks us up this year so we can use it again.
If you can't or don't want to follow Plongdin's advise on using a cooler as a piece of luggage, buy one of the soft sided coolers and pack it in regular luggage ............ Sam's Club has a nice one for less then $10 ............... leave them as gifts for maids, security guys, friends, etc......
tried the cooler thing not long ago cause of all the talkie on here..........
but I had a Refrig in the room and only traveling solo.........
so I found it a pain in the ass carrying the cooler around.......
and with the cheap beers at Sunbeach and then the patties being cheap......
mi didn't really save any money with the chit mi had in the cooler.......
plus did mi mention what a pain the ass those things are too carry around.........
but if you have a family and heading out to the beach.......mi can see having a cooler
and mi have never seen Masta Smith carrying around cooler with him either........lol
and him is the most budget conscious guy out of us all.........lol

I am with you on that one Marko, if your on the 7 mile beach, there is always a reasonable priced Redstripe a short walk away, and no pain in the ass cooler to drag around!

I'm a soft cooler guy myself ... here..there.. and everywhere ...LOVE to have ICE cold beers ALWAYS on hand ...then just purchase more and refill as I tour the beach ..the bartenders are great at topping up my ice with the purchase of a few more cocktails ..just the way I like to roll ..
