As I have said in previous posts, I just took over the resort two weeks ago. I beg to differ with you, there was a bar here 10 days ago. I know this because I set it up and was sitting at it most of the day! It is a temporary set up in the part of the building where Norma's used to be and we are using this space while we finish the construction on our new bar. As for your comment "why change something that was already good??????", the only thing in this world that is constant is that things change. Norma's has been a fine establishment for years in Negril and I have always enjoyed the food and the staff. I have been a visitor to Negril for thirty years so I speak from experience. You may or may not be aware that Norma Shirley, the world famous Jamaican chef who was the namesake and founder of Norma's, passed away. It was generally felt that Norma's did not maintain the same spirit and excellence since her passing. When I bought the property, my partner and I felt that a complete makeover of the bar and restaurant was in order. We are planning on presenting an excellent product in both food and beverage and we hope that you will give us an opportunity to serve you. I have re-hired the entire staff at the bar, restaurant, and hotel and added additional people to make sure that all runs smoothly. All that I can ask is that you give us a chance. I look forward to meeting you soon and continuing the fine service that Norma's and Sea Splash Resort have provided for the last twenty years.
