Rumpo, when I've stayed at Xtabi, I sooo enjoyed my mornings just sitting on my patio overlooking the ocean, watching the fishermen bring in their catch, famous Vincent cruizin' by, early morning snorkelers ...... it's pretty hard to tear myself away to go sit somewhere else, even for a Blood Mary. I'd suggest that you hit the Hi-Lo, get your ingredients for BMs so that Peggy can do her magic ... all before breakfast! Xtabi is a great place to sip and dip!

Ceasar's for us. We usually make a pitcher or 2 during our stay. Have never ordered one while in Negril. It's is starting to get popular (ceasar) that is.
It's a Canadian thing. Me gonna make 1 or 2 tonight. With horseradish for an extra kick!

Rumpo - sure buy booze from the Wholesale grocery (ie. "Chinyman"?) to get a good price (not the same store as Hi-Lo) - although if Peggy needs special ingredients for the BM's (ie. dill sauce, Clamato), Hi-Lo is a full-service grocery store and you're probably more likely to find 'special ingredients' there than at the Wholesale store. The 2 stores are only 1/4 mile apart from each other.
It IS a happy new year ..... in spite of the Packer game!!!!
Do yourself a favor and try a Caesar instead. Ask a Canadian.

A Caesar is similar to a bloody mary with the key difference being clamato juice instead of tomato juice. Along with a good shot of vodka add a few squirts of worchestershire (sp??) sauce and tobasco sauce, a slice of celery or pickled asparagus, salt rimmed glass and away you go. The clamato makes it a much "heartier" drink, not so thin.
And since you have that big bottle of clamato on hand now, don't be shy to mix 1 part to 3 parts beer. Deeeeeeeeeeelicious.
A Cesar used to be called a Clam digger....
