Seeking information on Sam Sara garden side rooms

Anyone stay at Sam Sara garden side rooms? J have stopped in at Sam Sara for a beverage and a swim on occasion, but was unaware they had garden (road) side rooms. Are they cabin type, or more of one larger building. They are described as fan only rooms, which may not be an issue this time of year, but I don't have much info. otherwise, other than a very good price. Thanks for the help.

I have stayed in them. It was actually the first place I ever stayed, but to be fair, that was Jan. 1999 so perhaps a lot has changed
But at that time we were happy with the room.

They are cabin style, with a big room area (ours had two beds and dressers and plenty of space) then a bathroom and even a little front porch. It was in fact a fan only room but it was January and with the cooler temps at night and the Mach 5 speed of the fan, we never had a problem.

But, like I said, it was a long time ago and I havent been back to the property in a long while so maybe someone else has stayed more recently and can provide a more up to date point of view

They've been recently repainted & some of the brush has been cleared out....

I stayed gardenside in Sept/Oct 09 and only lasted a night before switching to oceanside--it was too hot and the mosquitos were bad--plus I missed the convenience of wandering down some stairs and jumping in the sea. I upgraded to oceanside upstairs room with a view which at that time of the year didn't cost me too much more. The gardenside room I had was sort of octagonal wood cabin with a king sized bed in it --tiled floor and a good sized porch. I think another factor for my switching sides is that is was sort of isolated for me traveling solo--there was only one other guest gardenside at the time and their lodging was quite a ways from me. For a couple it probably would have been nice and secluded--but for me it was isolating.

Great place for couples. Sitting on the porch in your yard at night is awesome. If you enjoy the nature and a little more quiet, this is ideal. The rooms are more spacious with more closet space than rooms on the ocean side. It's like staying "in the jungle" but you're just a few steps away from "civilization".

I've stayed on the garden side at Samsara too. I liked it a lot .... your own little cottage with a hammock on the porch. Nice jungle-like garden area w/ tropical flowers. I was with a partner, so it was nice for privacy sake. I enjoyed hearing the roosters in the morning. I was concerned about it being cool enough since it didn't have ac, so I brought an extra little clip-on fan to aim at the bed .... but I never even used it - the overhead fan was sufficient to keep us cool (month of March, I think). If I were to stay at Samsara again, I would probably choose the garden side again just for the peacefulness. Remember to bring some of your own towels along, Samsara takes your towels in the a.m. and they don't return them till late in the afternoon. I didn't experience any mosquitoes .... I think the powerful fan obliterated them.
