Wow...Scathing analysis there Rob. I'm prejudiced and trying to bash a business.

Speaking to management that sends out freezer burned meat is a waste of time and energy. sending emails and getting this automatic reply "We will forward your letter to the proper personnel, thanks for taking the time to write." is a waste of time as well and I fear that my letter will find the same fate as my email. Bringing this to the light is the only answer

I will end here with a joke, lifted from this board many moons ago. It might shed some light on the practice of "One and Done"

Francis was a farmer with a goat for sale
An acquaintance of Francis, Leroy, traveled to buy the goat.
but there was a problem. The previous night the goat had died
"I am so sorry but the goat is dead" said Francis
"You know;" said Leroy "I'll take that goat from you anyway"
so Leroy loaded up the dead goat and hauled it away.
A month had passed when Francis ran across Leroy again
"Hello Leroy and how did you make out with that dead goat" said Francis
Leroy replied "I did very well thank you. I raffled him off. I sold 1,000 tickets at one dollar each. I made $1,000 off of that dead goat".
"WHAT?? You raffled off a dead goat? " Shreeked Francis
    "Didn't anyone complain?"
Leroy answered "The winner, he complained, so I gave him his dollar back"

    Nick,

The management did not send out your meal, the chef on duty at the time did. Had you taken a moment to bring this to the attention of the management - from my prior experience at Margaritaville you would have left a satisfied customer.

I am sorry that you feel that the truth is scathing... but you started this thread. I didnt. You are making judgements about management without actually finding out what management would have done. That is prejuding by definition. And since you did not take the time to contact the proper channels before posting your "angry letter", that is most certainly bashing a business in Jamaica. Once again, sorry if you find truth scathing but sometimes the truth does hurt.

Hopefully this will bring to light the proper way to deal with an issue like a burger not done to your liking and will be helpful to others...

Thanks, i will replace you as a customer...last year after never spending a dime there in all our visits to Negril we decided to giver it a try just for yucks..That was always a bathroom stop for us on our beach walks as they were clean and actually had tolit paper in the stalls..WE were coming off 3 days of a stomach virus and needed to get away from the curry and jerk...On a whim we ploped down and ordered a Cheesbuger and Fries and a Coke....It was actually a very good burger with lots of fires...They served fountain coke and it was just what i needed....I guess we are not a one and done but a one and fun...We finallay accepted that after twenty something years of traveling to the rock we were still tourist and damn good ones at that...Here are the two facts about our lunch....It was infact very good and it was the second most expensive meal of our vacation....And worth every cent of it....I think sometimes people love to hate on Jimmy as he is a wealthy business man....But most don't evern know anything about him...He was the son of a son ofa sailor..Grand dad was a shrimper in Mississippi...He grew up playing bars for tips, livend in a trailor park in Hattisburg, Mississippi....later lived on the street in the French Quarter and played for change...I guess he did start fleecing toruist at a very early age as he did while he was homeless in New Orleans.
