Reasonable Cliff hotels?

I decided to try out the Cliffs for a few days my next reach in March. We spent a lot of time up there this trip and I really like the vibe. I know from reading on here about the most popular ones like Catcha and Xtabi and Seastar but I noticed quite a few while I was up there that I had never heard of...and of course I can't remember the names now!

I might have a friend coming along that is on a budget so I was trying to find something less than $100/nt. I have checked out Oasis, Sunset on the Cliffs, Xtabi, Catcha and Catcha gardens. The Westender looks cool but that is a little too far up for my taste. I would prefer something close to like 3 Dives area?

I know there are some professional Cliff dwellers on here so help a sistah out!

Oh and it has to be local friendly and laid back..there is nothing I hate more than an uptight hotel!

Blue Cave castle-Catcha gardens- Seastar-and way out there The westender..These are ones I've stayed at and would rec.-Just them out,they are all quite different but reasonable prices, nice staff,safe places ...

I only stay on the Cliffs & I'll be returning to Sunset on the Cliffs for the 6th year in a row from 1/26-3/1. I love this little gem of a place & I've been coming to Negril since '88 missing only 4 years. Started with a little place called Drumville Cove til Ivan destroyed it in '04 & it wasn't rebuilt...so did a couple of years at Catch during Ivan rebuild rates in the Libra bungalow when the rates went back up I looked around & found Coral Seas back then later sold & renamed to what it is now. I I passed this place seems like hundreds of times in all those years but thought it was a pricey place...boy was I wrong. Only 22 rooms all with ocean view & about as close to the sea as you'll get. I can throw a rock in the sea from my 2nd fl. room easily. I still go to the beach almost everyday via the motorcycle I rent. June Romeo (owner) is a great host. Can't wait to check in & take my first dive into the warm turquoise sea. Soon Come!!

I stay at Samsara on the cliffs - the staff is great! 50 oceanview rooms and gardenside cottages. Really nice cliffs for sunning, snorkling, and swimming. Free shuttle daily to the beach (sister hotel is Legends). Reasonable rates. Just Natural is just down the road - great for breakfast. Just a short walk to Xtabi and 3 Dives. The West End is the BEST END!

Home Sweet Home Is a really nice place Its about 125. Under 100 going to be pretty hard to find.

I recommend Banana Shout for a great little rustic place that is literally on the edge of the cliff situated between Rick's Cafe and Catcha Falling Star. Dolphin Bay and Dolphin View are great little cottages and go for $100 or less a night. My husband and I could stay anywhere and yet we went to Banana Shout last November and returned again this November. Milo and Marianne are wonderful. There is nothing fancy here, but great people and an amazing location with a fantastic price.

Catcha Gardens is GREAT and so is Xtabi's garden side rooms! My friends stayed in 21 at Xtabi and its AWESOME - great value and under $100US.
