Best place to get dropped off @ to walk the beach.....

We will be staying @ BGN, I would like to take my mom for a walk down the 7 mile, I know we can cut through Hedo to walk the 7 mile~ but isn't quite a hike to get to public beach bars, shops etc? Are we better off grabbing a cab and getting dropped off somewhere?

Margaritaville is probably a good spot. It's right in the middle of the main beach.

I like to start at the Tree House and walk down to Legends. It takes about an hour if you don't stop to shop, have a few red stripes, or haggle with the vendors, but that is half the fun!!

Margaritaville ? ? ? ? Tree House ? ? ? ? You must be kidding ! ! ! ! You are missing the best part of the beach ! ! ! ! Start at Cosmos ............... RUN past the A.I.'s and stop at all the laid back places BEFORE you get to Tree House ................. old school, Jamaican owned places to stop and have a cold one.

Cosmos-start of long bay public beach/park (and cosmos some of the best food you;ll find on the beach-and Negril)..and go south from there..I dont understand (I guess its ignorance) why other people dont go to long bay (and its sister property way up the road public) beaches..No commercial buildings there..yes they have restrooms and showers.and it costs a few J's (for up-keep-like Americas park systems) no or very very few higglers to bother you... just mother nature and the beautiful water and beach.. do yourself a favor and check out the two public beaches that yes costs a few J's -but are are so serene and more like mother nature intended them to be..(and NO -no beach chairs-BYO -besides food and drink) the locals go there and have wonderful picnics,,Why not you??

I was thinking that her mother was elderly and possibly couldn't walk the full distance of the beach so I suggested something in the middle.
