Thanks a million Hettie for your wonderful trip reports! We are staying at the Round House for 5 nights in April then going down to the beach to Idle Awhile for 9 nights, and are counting the days already. Can you tell me, do you buy your Citronella tealights when you get there and if so where do you buy them? Also do Citronella supply towels or is it best to buy our own? Oh yes, one more thing, we have never tried Rum Cream, can you please recommend a good one??!! Enjoy every minute!
Rise early, treat everyday as though it's your last and your last day as it's your first.

Yes Sam! I'm glad you posted because I couldn't remember who kept mentioning it, but that was what prompted me to try it. When you go back you can let them know that you have helped to increase their food sales, because we ate the escoveitch there three times, and now it looks like more people will be jumping on the bandwagon.

    Hi spottycatz,

We take our own citronella votives, I ordered a big box from Amazon. I also have glass holders, but one or two get broken in our luggage every trip, so I'm looking for an alternative.

They have bath towels and a couple of larger white towels in the houses, but we took our own beach towels. You might want to just buy some beach towels after you get there.

I like the original Sangster's Rum Cream because I only drink it in coffee. Many people like to sip rum cream chilled or on the rocks. Sangster's brand has some different flavored rum creams, including banana and coffee flavors. You can find them all at Hi-Lo and probably the other grocery shops.

Mmmmm yes Rum Cream is amazing! I am definitely a fan. I have had the Sangsters brand and even the Wray and Nephew brand, on the last trip I tried the flavored ones, banana and also coconut.....They are all good!

I am loving this report too, thank you for sharing. I was also wondering about Citronella which looks like a fabulous property but I know very little about it so thank you for shedding some light on the place, definitely a great location!
And the photos of you doing yoga with the cliffs and Sir Ds behind you are great! And I can relate to a husband taking only photos of your backside....every single trip we go on always has random "chest" photos of me in there somewhere.....somehow my husband still expects me to think it was a mistake or some sort of camera malfunction! Ha
