ALERT: amazing deals...NYC area boardies!
Just checking Travelocity etc daily hoping for a steal...and...
JFK to Mobay airfare, including hotel, around $550-$650 pp (all fees included too) for a Saturday to Saturday stay in April. Double occupancy...
Flight times aren't awesome but hey. Just air from here in Albany is usually around $600
...one step closer...

Update: the hotels aren't shabby ones either.

hmm gotta figure out how to whip up some quick $$$

travelzoo is showing roundtrip flights from NYC to Mobay for Feb and March select dates under 300 RT all taxes included. BIG SIGH. I have the time but not the $$$. Still thinking about ditching the spendy apartment and just wandering for a bit between jobs. Not so into NYC these days and want to relocate anyhow. Why not relocate after a month or two in Jamaica--I would be saving $$$ quite a bit there on rent alone that I could put towards my next place. HMM thinking about it from all sides.

irie world relocate! ditch the apartment who needs bricks when you could be having fun? rent a wooden cabin and OFF you go

so close to doing just that tic toc-- just need to buy some time to pull it together--I've got pets that will need to be looked after plus all my stuff in the apartment. I am thinking best case scenario is if I can find someone to sublet my place for a couple of months and take care of the pets for a rent reduction. That way I could come back to my place and pets after JA and before moving somewhere else. I don't like the idea of not having a definite spot to come back to--though back in my youth I would just fly by the seat of my britches with the knowledge that everything would work out. These days I am more practical. So it is either find someone to sublet or pack all my stuff into storage and find cat care and then go.

Sounds like an awesome idea...and one I hope to do myself someday!
