You didn't have go today as an option, or of course I would have picked it! LOL, you can make it.....our last trip we had to wait an entire year, I thought I was going to die, but I didnt and the wait was worth it, however, this time I booked only 6 months after our last trip! Ha

option 2...Best time of the year for getting away as far as I am concerned. Since you are taking family with, no-one is holding you back, and getting away from all the Christmas hype is actually wonderful! I had to miss it this past holiday season (work reasons) and it definately won't be happening again!

Option #2 time to spend with your sons and then time for yourself. Have your sons ever been? And would they want to go? Yes it is a wait but you have more time. Hang in there.

What?? I don't like any of these options.
Come party with us at the boardie bash end of April!
    you know you want to....

haha - No, no.. I'll be rational like everyone else.
I have to agree that Option 2# is the best decision.

    (grumble mumble grumble)

I can completely relate to your desire to go sooner, Although I hear that patience is a virtue. It'll be worth it in the end.

plan on option 2 and then throw caution to the wind when you see a great deal and do April for a quickie as well just to tide you over! I mean New York isn't that far from Negril My best year for Negril travel was when I went January, May/June, and November/December. Those were the days! Now I am lucky if I can make it once a year.

LOL, that was my first reaction too...I was like APRIL APRIL until I saw his dates would be earlier than the bash and when we will be there so then I was like, ok, option 2

I did that exact same thing.....the first year I visited Jamaica and fell in love with her, 1999, I was there in January, end of May and end of November

yes those were the days, when flights were under 300, vacation days and frequent flier miles were plentiful and I had a better job/salary. Same thing for me Marley-- after the first time I went, I had to go 3 times the following year and loved late may, late november. I stuck to those months through much of my subsequent travel, low season rates, great weather and extra days off from work for Thanksgiving and Memorial Day.
