    Soft diet help

I know it stinks, but it is what it is. Will I be able to get the following at the HiLo or do I need to stop at Mega Mart in mobay for soup
    yogarts
    applesauce
    egg beaters
cottage cheese AND did the Mega mart get a cambio yet and are they open on Sundays?
Any suggestions into soft Ja. food also would be helpful.

    Love the porridge in Negril!
You can bring egg beaters and Dry-Soups from home as well!

never been to mega mart but I have seen yogarts at Hi Lo and I think applesauce too. Not sure about egg beaters but maybe. You will be able to do mashed potatoes, pumpkin soup, ice cream, and things like that maybe.

You can get most things on your list at the HiLo or Mega Mart. I've seen the Eggbeaters at HiLo...but don't know if they always carry them.
Mega Mart has a bank machine & a Western Union...open on Sundays.

plus egg beaters are pretty much just egg whites with color, flavor, sweetener and vitamins added--you could get eggs and just separate and use the whites if you can't find the egg beaters.

Ask for or buy sweet yam. Its always nice and cooks up soft. Green banana. Try the different soup vendors, tell them you want mostly 'water' and no 'food'.

Nezzberries are around, they are soft and very sweet when ripe. Papaya when ripe, try the different kinds of bananas. Steamed calalloo.

Yogurts you can definitely get at HiLo but I've yet to find applesauce at any of the markets in Negril.

Bring a little blender - smoothies!! (Also some protein powder...don't forget your protein). I have this kickin' Hamilton Beach small blender that I paid $8US for 2 years ago and it rocks.

Depending on where you're staying, you might be surprised what the chef could do for you! I know Delroy at the Seastar would help you out. I'm sure Mega Mart has egg beaters. There's a little Ital resto on the cliff end run by Rasta Roddy, and he makes amazing soup! I honestly think most of the little restos would be happy to whip something up for you. Both HiLo and Mega have youghurt .... try the amazing cranberry! It's awesome! Bring all the meds you think you might need .... they're hard to come by down there. We need Immodium (don't ask) and they dole it out by the tablet at the pharmacy(or chemist, depending on where you are!!!).

i think a word in the ear of your server or chef, and you will be amazed how accomodating they are! Truly!
