Clarity please share this with Jamar:
There is an old, obscure album called "Mo Roots" by Taj Mahal.
The last song on it is called "(Clara) St. Kitts Woman".
This song speaks directly to what Jamar said he experienced in the concert.
The whole album is fantastic, it opens with Taj Mahal's cover of "Johnny Too Bad" - from "The Harder They Come" soundtrack.
Fascinating article about Lionfish. It seems they eat a lot of reef fish and multiple quickly, so that's why they're a pest -- besides getting stung, of course -- but also as a restaurant entree they taste GOOD ....
Sweetness, Southernrust, Gerryg123 - Thanks for the kind comments!
Lady Jane & Maryann - Yes, the dirty banana was good and strong. I wish I could have one now. I still can't get my hands on Rum cream here in SF!
Booger - thanks! You and Marley's trip reports were so helpful when we were planning our first trip to Catcha. I couldn't get enough details and pics.
Yep, The three of us are working overtime and trying to finally wrap up this entire trip report! I pulled out the whip
There will be another new update tonight

Yes, Exactly! I love all the sounds of Jamaica
Your observations on the different sounds made me realize something..
I don't remember hearing the tree frogs at night on the cliffs...
Are the cliffs too high up for the tree frogs to live?
there is still a lot of vegetation

Now It's late. Instead of updating our trip report we were watching the Mighty Diamonds concert on RealNegril.
Great show at Bourbon Beach! Thanks Rob & Lisa for staying up until 2 AM to broadcast the concert for all of us to enjoy.
Alright I'll try to write a few lines anyway...get this TR moving again. We're so close to finishing it!

DAY 5 CONTINUED...
We headed down the rocky road from Seastar towards Catcha Falling Star...
The wooden gates slowly opened. When they were fully open, Henry drove us is inside over the gravel and rocks to a small wood cabin with shutters.
"That's where you'll check in", He said as he helped us pull the luggage out of the back of the van. We thanked him with a tip and said our goodbye's.
Now we've heard alot about Catcha Falling Star from Marley, Booger and many others on the board. We were excited about this stay. This was going to be the "Grand Finale" of our trip. We wanted to be somewhere peaceful and away from the hustle & bustle. A place where we could unwind and spend some romantic time alone together. It looked so beautiful in their pictures and we wondered what it would look like in person...I was giddy with inner excitement at the fact that I was finally ACTUALLY here!
The interior of the cabin was rustic. A woman was behind the desk in front of a small computer.
When we approached she stood up and smiled.
"Markus and Daisy?", She asked.
Wow! She already knew who we were and we'd never met her before!
"Yes, that's us", I said with a smile. "We're here to check into the Gemini 1 cottage"
"Welcome to Catcha Falling Star, I'm Mauvette.", She said with a smile. She began to check us in. While Markus did that, I looked around the cabin..
It was small, cozy and intimate.

After we were done checking in, Mauvette said "Your room isn't ready yet but it will be soon. In the meantime, you can go to Ivans Bar, have a refreshment and enjoy the grounds - you can leave your luggage here"
"Okay sounds good", Markus said
Then Mauvette reached down into a stack of papers and pulled out a brown envelope. "Oh! And this is for you two" She handed the envelope to us.
We opened it and saw a beautiful postcard from Marley & Ralonzo. After reading it, I was smiling from ear to ear and really touched! Thanks so much you guys! You made our first moments at Catcha Falling Star truly special!
(The next round of dirty bananas is on us!)
