    great article

I just read the best article in "Caribbean" magazine called "Eating Negril".... a must read you'll love seeing all the familar faces, from the Mango Lady to the guys at Three Dives......looking forward to some good jerk chicken.
Clarity thanks for the info on Biggas place, obviously not the same place as our old friend, but we will have to check it out.
Does anybody have a great car rental place. We usually just rent from somplace like Budjet at the airport, but the choice of cars can somtimes be scary and inside info would be great.

Caribbean Travel & Life February 2012.
For someone who has been going there since the 70's he did miss a few of the oldest establishment like Jenny's and Erica's. I know you can't include everyone, but I thought they should make the list. Also, after eating at Miss Sonia's one time, I'll take a pass.

    Regards,

    Bob

Was Miss Sonia's not so good? After reading that article I had put her on our must eat list! Mind sharing your experience?

Well, Jbizek, the wife and I went there for dinner early one evening in December 2010. We were the only people there and the menu was extreamely limited. The food was okay, but what was unsettling was watching a grandchild or great granchild dip into a pot cooking 3 different times to get his "meal" and then being served food from the same pot. Never went back again.

    Regards,

    Bob

Yikes Bob! That would do it for me as well. And I'm not easily grossed out! Thanks for the story!

Awaiting our return to Negril, 07/01/12

Caz - I usually check Price line Hot Wire or similar sites for Car Rantals. There are several on the Hill above Sangster airport (Queens Drive) that shuttle you back & forth and are better deals then the National Companies at the Airport. Rented a little Nissan in December 2011 for $ 20.00 a day from a place there and it was perfect for Jamaican roads. I think they were called UcalAutos.com. Shop around
