Bookstore anyone?

Looking to buy a book and can't seem to find a bookstore around. Selena's no longer carries books as is now a bar. Anyone with info?

Hi Lolly - I found an old thread that mentioned the following - not sure if its still good info but looks like good places to try [quoted]:

Lending libraries at Easy Rock, Seastar, NBCC and Canoe.

Some paper back books at the local pharmacies but they tend to be more expensive and the selection is minimal. Best selection of books to be at Sunnyside in Time Square... paperbacks & Jamaican authors. Also HiLo/Sunshine plaza - many shops carry some books.

Book store on the way to Sav, advertise school books, so not sure if they offer a wide selection.

Thanks, will try again at Times Square, didn't see anything this aft. Also this may make my decision for a dinner place tonight.

Actually I couldn't find any at time square, (didn't get to canoe either) but agree, next time I'll bring along a few more!

When I lived on the north coast I got a library card, but in order to check out books, I had to show proof of residence AND I had to have a letter of reference from my church minister. (I didn't have a minister on the island, but they let me get by with a letter from a minister's wife)

Simply ask at the front desk of your hotel. Many have books which you can exchange i.e. take one out and leave one of yours. I do this at mine (Golden Sunset). They have a collection there but I'm not sure if it is only for guests or not.
