    Thurs night dinner & show?

Staying at Country Country for 1 week in Feb. Want to make sure we get in at least a couple of live shows. Noticed that Shereta's has a Thurs night buffet & show & it seems that the Canoe Bar has something the same night. I wanted to get to the Canoe Bar anyway for an afternoon & dinner... We only have 6 full evenings in Negril....is the show worth an evening at Shereta's (for the price & lukewarm reviews for their buffet) or would the money & time be better spent at Canoe Bar on Thurs? I don't want to waste a valuable evening in Negril!
I'm a divorced mom traveling with 16 yr old son....we both would enjoy good entertainment/music & good food.....recommendations?
I also plan to go to Alfred's for dinner one of the evenings they have entertainment...

I'm positive from what I've read that the food would be better at the Canoe Bar, but I'm wondering how good the entertainment is at Shereta's on Thursday nights. Has anyone been to the buffet and show at Shereta's? If the show is really good, I might consider going and go to the Canoe Bar another afternoon/evening.

Or, is it still hands down better at the Canoe Bar, entertainment wise?

What's the best way to get to the Canoe Bar from Country Country (and return)? I don't suppose they have a shuttle to pick up people on the beach on Thurdays? Otherwise, it seems taking a route taxi is the cheapest way to go (and may be able to find a driver who is willing to take us past the roundabout directly to the Canoe Bar). I have to say, for the return ride to Country Country, I'm a bit nervous about taking a route taxi after dark, especially after having a drink or two, and I'm more nervous after some articles I've read this week about what goes on in Mexico. I know Jamaica isn't Mexico, but the news does make one more aware of being cautious. (You can tell I'm a newbie to Negril!)

Does anyone have any other suggestions of where to go for live entertainment close to Country Country?

    Thank you!
