I know exactly what you mean by "dancing" on the beach, been doing it for years, what a feeling!! My wife & I come to Negril each year, usually early Spring, but have to postpone this year till May. Need to see Further in April. Can't wait to have the sand beneath my feet again

Awesome! That was one of the best explanations I have read in a while.

    Have a great time dancing!

I see Negril as kind of the Haight-Ashbury of Jamaica.
This made me laugh and I do agree but I think I was laughing because of a memory from September last year. Raul and I were in San Francisco and I went to lunch with a good friend of mine, also a DeadHead but even more as her mother used to tour with them and so my friend grew up on the road with them. Anyways we spent the day in Haight-Ashbury and as we were walking along the street, middle of the week around lunch time, we were passed by a man who was jogging. He was wearing his headphones....and ONLY his headphones!
I am dead serious...oh wait, he also had running shoes on! LOL

I do long walks on the beach, wife lays in the chair so we both do what we like.I have 2 hand carved sticks from Negril I use here, but there,I make my own stick and walk from CoCo on the beach/road to Bloody Bay & back or CoCo to the ATM at the bank and back.Stops at the bars along the way.Love it.

Negril is very much like a non-stop Dead show. It's like we always said to people who have never experienced it; If I have to explain it to you, you probably wouldn't understand. It is more than just a destination, just like the Dead shows were so much more than just a concert. We are never the same after we leave, we want to return as quickly as possible.
BTW, my 1st Dead show was Aug. 1978, Was at the very last one in Chicago in 1995. 1st trip to Negril march 1989. Will be returning in December!!
What a long strange trip it's been!!!
