We paid $584 pp for that flight. At least we get to stay for 18 days.

Holy crapoli, we paid $20 less for spirit air w/ a layover. Would've loved this before I booked Spirit...

NYC to MBJ $139 one way w/stop in MIA Apr. 17 Return on Apr 25 using 17500 miles & $65 or I could do RT for $309 but this is what I save my miles for.... It's the return trip they get you on. Price inflated with not so desirable connections, nonstop even worse.

Actually, I can't believe how much they charge from FL to JA - it's crazy

Sweet Sue, the return FROM Jamaica is a higher price because of the various JA-imposed taxes and fees. The fare itself, is often the same each way. Its the taxes that make them look different.

Yea - but lets face it, what goes down must come back up. So they got you whether it be fare or taxes. However, it does vary a bit, I have had some awesome luck at getting low fares.

That is an amazing price. I wish we could get anything CLOSE to that, lol. I am contemplating driving to Atlanta and flying out to save a little bit.

When we were booking our flights I checked out 6 major airports and didn't see much difference in prices. We ended up flying out of our home city because by the time we factored in, gas, parking and hotel we weren't saving any money. Flights out of Atlanta are good if you don't mind flying AirTran, which we do, to many bad experiences to gamble a vacation on.
Tfw73- were hitting our main flight out in Atl with Delta, good luck finding a good deal! We've been chatting over on TripAdvisor looks like we will be in Negril at the same time! To early to start a July Roll Call I suppose !s
