looking for some good eats on the beach
Staying on the beach for the first time non-AI...and need some ideas on where to eat on the beach. We usually stay in the West End and I know that there are a ton of good eats up there but looking for some alternatives on the beach so we're not constantly heading to the west end for supper.

Best in the West...right across the street from coco la palm... has some great jerk chicken!

Eats on the beach
In the evening, Sunbeach sets up tables on the beach. It is very romantic with your table lighted by a candle and your feet in the sand.

Sunbeach is romantic, but when I got jerk chicken there, it was KFC covered in jerk sauce....LOL. Plus those sand fleas will getcha!

There's many great choices on the beach. Here's a few that we go to. Miss Lena's for breakfast (it's right on the beach) Ozzie's Jerk Centre, Cosmo's and Alfred's for Lunch and Ozzie's Top Spot (many know this as Miss Madge's at Donaldson's Inn) for dinner. She has excellent Red Snapper, King Fish and some of the best Shrimp, Chicken and Lobster Chop Suey you'll ever have. A few other good dinner choices are Cool Spot across the road from Foote Prints and Chances for pizza is very good. I'm sure you will get alot of good suggestion from your post so enjoy wherever you choose to go.

Really like Montana's for breakfast (across road from beach near Fun Holiday)
Alfred's, Best in the West or Niah's (in Waves Park)
Sweet Spot, Miss Sonia's, Canoe, Chicken Lavish.
Have heard Kuyaba is a good place for a nicer ($$) dinner.
Also like Italian Cafe and Sunrise Club if you are in for some pizza/pasta.
Aqua is nice for drinks & appetizers and sunset watching prior to going for dinner.
& sure there are many more good restaurants on the beach we have not tried yet...

Sweet Spice is just up from the beach. It is a place locals eat at and is pretty good. I had some tasty curry goat from there! Also, for a quick lunch, snack etc., just wait for the patty guy to come by! Now I'm getting hungry!!!

That's another good inexpensive lunch, Norman the Patty Guy. Watch for him pushing his bike on the beach with his hot patties and cocoa bread. Plus, he is a very nice gentleman. There's also a small shop between Sea Splash and Treehouse that has patties. Honestly, we normally have two meals a day supplemented with plenty of Appleton and Red Stripe.

Staying at Coco la Palm - could you tell me whether it's safe to have dinner at a beach restaurant, then walk back "home" on the beach after dark? I'm a bit nervous about it. thanks!

There are lots of people on the beach at night. It is safe...just use common sense as you would anywhere else. Take a flashlight, relax, and enjoy!
