I was told once, that the best way to eat a mango is "knee high in the sea". So I bought 7 mangos from the lady on the beach and ate them knee high in the sea.....the best food on the beach, ever!!! (Note: bring floss to Jamaica

Coconut International and Kuyaba both very good!

Lingah by the Sea (Beach Club); Kuyaba; Fattie's (across from Traveller's); Sweet Spice (in town); Neville, the pattie man... those are my picks.

Melody, I've had the Sherata buffet and it's not as good as SeaStar's buffet, it's really limited. However the regular menu at Sherata's is good, I've eaten there a few times.
Norma's at the SeaSplash is closed and they have new owners renovating the place, when I was there in Dec. they were serving JA food and I didn't hear
anything about them opening a mexican place however the owner Jim/boombastic has been posting on here frequently we should ask him.
My Beach Faves:
Cosmo's-good authentic JA food at good prices
Cheap Thrill Corner (patty shack between Treehouse & SeaSplash)-Awesome Jerk Chicken and homemade soups
Treehouse
CountryCountry
Kuyaba

Best dinner spot on the beach is Kuyaba, for sure (in my opinion). The curried lentils app are so yummy and the lobster thermidor is out of this world...a MUST try, for SURE!!! They also serve a snapper sandwich on coco bread for lunch that will knock you on your knees!!! AMAZING!!! Kuyaba will come pick you up at any hotel and take you back as well...however I always just walk. I also like Angela's (upstairs from Bar b Barn)... the service can be hit or miss but the food is usually good. I am use to food taking a LONG time in Jamaica and I expect that, however I had a server there a few times who was just totally miserable, but have also had a great server too.
As for walking on the beach at night...be aware of your surroundings and walk at the waters edge. Don't engage in conversation with any vendors, ect. and keep a good pace and you will be fine. I have walked the beach in groups as well as alone at night and have always done fine. Just be smart.
