last year we stayed at Whistling Bird for the first time. Some of their employees seem to have been there since the beginning of time! I believe the same family, maybe in Colorado, have owned it for a long time. It was a very pleasant, welcoming experience! As is the case with many properties in Negril, the staff was not at all subservient to the guests, kind, friendly, helpful, welcoming, but none of the "fade into the background" demeanor of staff at some hotels.
