This place was 1 of our favorite place's to eat 2 yrs ago. We went there 6, 8 or more times and brought friends. Great food and fun.
But last reach not so good, maybe a chef change. Was hoping to run into the owner to find out why, but didn't. We did give it a try for lunch and then for dinner, but did not stand up to the of the previous year.
Was wondering if it is still around and if so has it changed chefs again......We are hoping so. We surely missed it.

I loved Pilots! My sister was there in July and she said the same thing. Said the food wasn't as good and that I would not be happy. Thats sad as I dont like beans but I ate their beans and rice with no problem!

I was there last March. I love to shoot pool and they have a great vibe going there during the day and night hours. I tried a chicken dish the first day and loved it. One of the best meals I have had in Negril. 2 nights later I ordered the exact dish and it was totally different. Not very good and I was disappointed. Different cook. Different recipe and ingredients.The owner was great as well as service and price, but I will be hesistant to order food again there.I still will show up there , as I liked everything else. Nice service , vibe,people and prices.
that is one of the downfalls of a lot of places in Negril.......
they keep changing Chefs and cooks..........
so from one season to the next season the same dish can taste completely different...........
in Shooters case it was from night to night.....lol
that is why mi like Bentely's so much......you know it's only him preparing your food for you.......

Never been threre but wanted to go last November. We looked for the sign as we walked down the beach and couldn't find it. If I was told correctly the Pilots Cafe is gone. A new resturant with a new name took it's place.

If your walking down the beach, the sign sits back from the water.The restaurant is actually on the road. I missed the sign and the beach entrance a couple times, because you can walk right past and not see it. The bar isn't visible from the beach. Also, it could be that I had too many Redstripes.Marko , you are definitely right about Bentleys.Owner is on site 24 hours a day and it is consistently great.I hope if it's sold, they still keep the pool table and the setup the same. I liked that bar.
