Taxi Fare update?

Been a while......prices for route taxi mid beach to upper west end and regular taxi for same?

100 JA for each leg...so mid beach to upper west end would be 200 JA for route taxi. As for regular fair...do you mean charter? I would think that 100 JA times 4 would be fair cause that would be the same as a full cab?

Also, the other cab fare i wish to know about is a non route taxi flagged down on the road....what to expect from mid beach to upper cliffs...thanks

Yes, the 100 JA is per person for each leg. We don't take "chartered" taxis ever but I would think 400-500JA for each leg would be more than fair...therefore 800-1000JA for mid-beach to westend. That would be just over $10US.

I don't always check the tags (I know everybody, but that's just me) and I just negotiate the fare prior to accepting the ride. Last July I probably paid around $5 US (for 1 or 2 people) from mid beach to the cliffs.

If I flag down a red tag and want to go from the beach to the cliffs I offer the driver 300J per person and am rarely turned down. That's 100J for each leg of the route and 100J for jumping routes.

Ras ..fair enough ..that makes it irie ... Some folks think car/insurance/gas/plates are free ......... thats why I avoid the "pirates"
