How about Beer/Rum? Is it really cheaper than in Negril? I will need to stop somewhere and get at least a six pack for the wifey, so why not kill two birds...

They do have Beer and rum and it is pretty cheap. I couldnt find any cold beer, though. I dont know about the cell cards.
No sims at Megamart but there is a Digicel outlet just a few blocks past after megamart.

was in Megamart a week ago.............
they sell beer in the supermarket section of the store.........
you have to go into the liqour store section across from the supermarket checkouts to get rum etc.........
you can't pay for liquor and beer at the same time........it's a seperate checkout
kinda pain in da ass but the prices more than make up for it........
the Myers Rum was like $900 odd J's or around $11US and cheaper than Appleton....
the reverse of what it cost here in the states.........
they have all the beers you could possibly want.........
they had a brand of beer with ginger in it........
it has a gold label on it and never seen it before and it was good mon.........
mi had bought so much at Megamart when wi arrived.......
that I never had to go to HiLo or Valuemaster the rest of the trip..........
they have a great bakery at Megamart supermarket that is a must.......
nice fresh Jamaican pastry to die for mon........
mi will always stop at MegaMart first before heading to Negril for now on........

Does anyone know the Rum Cream prices there? I bought a bottle at the Shamrock grocery for $1400. Then went to Hi-Lo and bought one there for $1200. Just wondering if Mega Mart is any cheaper?

So in your advice if you wanted to stock up on snacks/beer, is it better to get it at the Mega Mart? Last case of Red Stripe I got at Hi-Lo seemed pretty darned high...
I keep hearing about Rum Cream! Anyone care to enlighten me on what this is?
