Pelican Bar or Love Bus Bar tour

Heading to Negril at the end of Feb for our first trip to Jamaica. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary so we are no in our 20's but we like to party. Looking for some suggestions from all of you that specialize in vacationing in Negril. (haha). Do we spend a Wednesday afternoon going to the to Pelican Bar or go on the Love Bus Bar tour. Both look fun.

If you like to party, the bus is probably your best bet. That being said, the pelican bar looks like the kinda thing you won't find anywhere else. We are going to the pelican bar this reach, because I refuse to go to Jamaica again and not go there. We will miss the bus this trip as we arrive and leave on Wednesdays

Personally, I think you should do both...

I haven't done the one love bus but want to try it in March. Have been to Pelican Bar twice and am going again in March. Love that place!

tuff to compare something free versus something that cost a lot.........

mi did the Love Bus a week ago and had a blast........and it was very inexpensive

the Red Stripe Beers were frosty and only $200J's at most of the places..........

We're doing the One Love Bus...I haven't done the Pelican Bar yet, either. Last reach we were going to but just decided it was too far for us. Ah, maybe some day!

I have done both, and if your idea of partying is bar hopping some great bars, do the pub crawl. My wife and I were on the bus on a slow day and had a blast. Would be a awesome with a good crowd. Pelican bar is chill and more of a relaxing place to trip out at. I want to go back there, but with a lively crowd.

Or do both on separate days. I did both my last trip and thoroughly enjoyed myself... Getting out of Negril for a day is a nice getaway. Different vibe for sure. And I would recommend doing it mid trip to break it up.

Just got back from Negril a couple days ago and did both the Bar Crawl and the Pelican Bar. The Bar Crawl was amazing. Can't wait to do it again. There were 10 of us traveling together ranging from 53 to 62 years of age. The bus was packed and it had to make 2 other trips. I'm guessing somewhere between 50 to 75 people on the tour. It was difficult to tell because they would drop some off at a bar and take the people from there to the next one. Lots of young people on it as well. It was the most fun I've had in Jamaica.

I found the Pelican Bar to be a bit of a disappointment. Maybe I was expecting too much. They had no Red Stripe beer so we had to drink Heineken. Thats just wrong. We were the first boat there and thought it was going to be a nice place to chill out. Then the boats started arriving. It got pretty packed in a hurry. Wasn't much room to move around and no place to sit. It's one of those things that you have to experience and do once. I've done it and probably won't go back. We did the Pelican Bar after YS Falls. It's a long way to go to just do the Pelican Bar. If you're going that far, try to do it with another tour (YS Falls, Black River) to make the trip worth while.

We have done both and would do both again. Basically, do you want a fun afternoon or do you want an all day adventure?

It will be pretty much a full day if you go to the Pelican Bar and I agree that you would probably want to do it with another tour. We did it with YS Falls. We loved getting out and seeing more of Jamaica, traveling through the different towns along the way and stopping off to eat at roadside places.

The Bar Crawl was probably the best time we've had on our 6 trips to Jamaica.

I would do both, if it is an option.
