well one of the things that happened at the SeaSplash party was having the artist Ras Humos stop by.........
talked to him for years and always admired his artwork and his students.........
we shared some $150J Red Stripe Beers together and I listened to the background on each piece of artwork.........
the depth that Ras goes to into painting these pieces is mind altering stuff...........




today Ras was having a half price sale.......typically his Pontil paintings go for around $80 bucks.........
and this wasn't some line he was giving mi......mi seen plenty of people in the past fork out $70-$80 for the Pontils
so I spied the one that really was talkie to me........and made mi $40 purchase from an old friend........

it's the one with the orange in the sky on the far right...........





it's framed now and hanging in the Caribbean section of mi house.......

also Ras Humos gives a special shout out to our friend JaNate.........he says love and peace to you and your son......

well i haven't been on negril.com in quite a while but i spent past hour reading and checking out your pictures from your trip and it was good stuff! Winsome sounds familar? Danny is in Germany and doing very well! I didn't see any pictures of TJ's!! I love that Ella lane and L&M Market,Pee Wee's! 1st pic ya posted of pee wee's i seen my Minnesota license plate Elvis had me hang up there myself!(one at TJ's too!) Never been to Bentleys myself either but that food looked awesome!
Ras Husmo is cool man and thanks for that shout out from him,end of your story to read that was really cool!
Glad ya enjoyed your trip and hope to have a Cold Red Stripe with ya on the rock again someday soon! Thanks for sharing and bringing me back "home" tonight for awhile! Much Respect Marko! ~JaNate & Justin

well i haven't been on negril.com in quite a while

figured you and Justin are probably pretty busy these days........how old is Justin now? 4?
Tony was doing some construction work on T&J's when I walked by in Jan.........
but it still looks about da same.....they had some customers each time mi went by.......
Bentleys is up at the top of crest of the lane on the right hand side.....that is where mi use to stay back in the 90's
looking forward to meeting pon da rock again.......yah mon
