    Crusher's Great Big C Tour

Well we have finally arrived in our beloved Jamaica and I must say it feels as wonderful as ever. We arrived early on Thursday morning and we were through immigration in under 10 minutes...was so easy at that time of the day. Our luggage was waiting for us through the doors and we were only in the airport for like 25 minutes top. We stepped through the doors of the exit to the airport and immediately were thankful that we are able to afford these luxuries.

Doc was waiting for us outside the doors and we immediately loaded our gear and headed off to Negril. The amazing feeling of riding through Montego and heading to Negril is infectious. The feeling welling up inside that we would soon be to a place that we consider our second home. I love Jamaica and love Negril above all other places.

We arrived at Mariner's and our room wasn't quite ready but that's fine it was like 9AM. We took some of our swimwear out and stored our bags in their office and headed to the beach. Before I could blink my wife was in the ocean and basking in the glory of the sun and surf. She looked so happy that it was just amazing. So glad that we made it and so glad that she gets to do the thing she loves the most.

What I haven't mentioned before in any of my posts is that my wife was diagnosed with Cancer last April and there was some doubt about whether we were going to be able to make this trip. The stars aligned and we were able to fit this trip in between two phases of her treatment. She is going to be able to recharge and continue to fight when we get home.

After a couple of beers I headed out down the beach to meet up with Newfiesub. I walked a long way to find Fun Holiday. We had a few beers, swapped stories with the bartender and made my way back down the beach.

Clarity, thanks for sharing your stories about Maureen, I stopped at her bar going down the beach and coming back!! She's amazing and I had a tonne of fun with her!

We ended up on the cliffs for some supper at the Canoe and then headed back to room. I hadn't slept in nearly two days. I was exhausted.....but so happy.....

    Pics and stories to follow.....

    Day Two

Well after our adventures I slept really well last night. Got up early this morning and saw the sunrise over Long Bay. Such an amazing feeling of calmness realizing you are spending yet another day in Jamaican Paradise. Wench was up and on the her deck next to our room so I grabbed her towel and went and setup on the beach. Went and took some pictures around the hotel and went back to see Wench on her deck. We chatted about her first week up in the hills with our friends and chilled out basking in the morning warmth. As we chatted she sipped coffee and rum cream, my wife and her can usually polish off a pot or two in the mornings. The looks on their face when they are drinking that is amazing.

Our friend Statement and his baby momma came by our room. He has been friends with my wife since he lived in Canada. He is a very talented singer as her performs at the RIU and SeaWind all the time. I had purchased some Marc Ecko and Adidas shirts for him the last time I was in Vegas so he was a pretty happy guy. The baby, who's name is Shaniqua, was six months old and she is so freaking cute. I have never had kids but I think if I was going to have some they would have to Jamaican Babies!

We sat on the deck and talked about life and how my wife is dealing with her cancer and his ideas on how she can deal with her symptoms. We made plans for Karaoke at Travelers tonight and am looking forward to chilling with him.

We went out and had breakfast at Lingah. I love their breakfast potatoes as they put hot peppers in them. Eggs, Jamaican Sausage and fried peppers/potatoes while sitting listening to the ocean. Is there anything better than that sound in the morning?

We went into the ocean and had tonnes of fun. It rained while we were there so we went into town to put minutes on the phones and such. By the way you can't get mini-sim cards in Negril. So your iPhone if its unlocked will be useless. You should stop in MoBay if you are wanting to do that. The hotel at Mariners now charges for internet....so this report is being done from the deck at Travellers. I won't be staying at NBCC again if I have to pay like 40 bucks a week for internet.

After being in town we came to Travellers and I had a wonderful Jerk Chicken Sandwich. And I am writing this report segment...we are having way too much fun and its time to go!!

The regular sims an be cut down to fit the iPhone 4/4s mico sim. The electronics are the same, the regular ones just have more cardboard. I have a punch which is only about $5 and makes it painless, but if one is not available I have cut the regular ones with just a pair of scissors. It is fairly easy just use your existing mico sim from your iphone to trace the pattern on the regular sim, and then cut it.

Sorry to cut in on the report, so if I have my iphone unlocked I can trim the sim card from my cheap coral phone and it will work?
