Hahaha! My next swimsuit will be a Burka. Ironic a mongomus shark got it at Hedo. Maybe it had a wandering eye...

Great...this is exactly what Clarity needed to hear, 60 lb sharks in the water! lol![]()
LOL...I guess that hint hint was for me, right?
But let me be clear, I have a degree in Marine Biology, but sadly I am not a Marine Biologist.
My love of the ocean and the animals who live there made me follow that dream since I was a young kid. I followed it through college, through internships and through a move down to Florida chasing a job I desperately wanted but never got! So after many failed attempts to land that dream job (or at some point just any job in my field) I went on to other careers, including IT, working in the music business with marketing and promotions, and now Media Buying....you can see how that is all related to Marine Biology, can't you? LOL
So now my degree is just a really expensive hobbie and passion. I will always love the ocean and her creatures which is why it might be better for me not to share my opinions on this subject as I would be far outnumbered by what most opinions are.
This video made me very sad, I cried actually. But I could write a whole novel (or more) on my feelings of right and wrong, justified and unjustified when it comes to humans and animals, especially animals living in their own habitats just doing what they normally do......
I will just leave it at this......In the last year I have heard of and even seen videos/pictures of a handful of sharks being killed in Jamaica, I think at least 3 from Negril alone, but in the 13 years I have been traveling to Jamaica I haven't heard of one human being killed by a shark, I haven't even heard of an attack. Of course I am not saying it didn't happen, but I bet the ratio is much higher in the shark death category.
Sharks live in the ocean, so occasionally if you go to the ocean, you are going to see one. But in this case, I bet if they didn't throw bait or make a big scene in order to spear the "mighty beast" it would have just swam away and EVERYONE would have lived.
Just my opinion of course, but like I said, I am a self-proclaimed ocean and her inhabitants lover....I have a really expensive piece of paper that says so LOL
That shark will be visiting me in my nightmares tonight.

Carpe Diem
Well, I have had an encounter with a smaller shark (two and a half feet, approximate) in the Florida panhandle before. I never knew that I could jump as high as Michael Jordan before that day....LOL
Well yes, let me also add that in Florida it can be a lot different than in the Caribbean. Where I live in Florida we have a lot of Bull Sharks which are the most aggressive sharks, they will attack for no reason, but most sharks do not attack for no reason like that. Bull sharks are responsible for most of the deaths in Florida.
Either way, I am not saying don't be afraid. Be afraid all you want to, you should be. They can be dangerous, they can be massive, but they are not being anything beyond what they are. So if you see one, get out of the water sure. But I don't think they should be killed simply for being a shark, that is all I am saying.
But then again, like I said, I am usually outnumbered here and I get that and I accept it.
But I just think the poor animals are being killed too often. Look at Shark Fin soup in China, that is ridiculous. So here we are, humans going into their habitat and killing them for whatever reason, for their fins, or just because they are sharks, etc. so in that sense sharks should be just as scared of humans as we are of them (if they had feelings like that) but they don't jump out of the water and walk up on land if they happen to see a human walking by just so they can kill them because WE might kill them. I know that might be a silly analogy but FAR more sharks are killed by humans than the other way around, and we have the audacity to swim in their home and then kill them if they come too close to us....ok I will stop.....like I said before I am not the best one to share my feelings on this.
Back to the regularly scheduled programming.
Sorry for the rant...lol
WOW! Think I will keep my eyes peeled and watch me back...please.
Marley you aren't alone in thinking that video WAS sad. Especially knowing they lured it in.![]()

Oh bless you Jbizek
I was starting to feel bad about my rant
There are some times when I know my certain passions about things can get the best of me.
Thanks for not making me feel alone in that lol
