What you were watching was a game of "Lude" ( Loo-dee)......its was like a "game of life"...you get busted go to jail, loose a few pennys,
all done with dice............
Here is a painting we have that depicts the game being played in downtown MoBay, and it was at night when we first saw it........from a distance the sound of the dice hitting the sides of the game-board were like .22 cal shots, that's what brought us over...lol
quite a game, they get very excited......lol
