good fresh veggies

I am renting a fridge for our stay at the Westender and was planning on stocking it with some beverages, snack food, fruit, etc...
I was planning on getting everything at a place like Hi-Lo. Should we consider buying the fresh stuff like fruit somewhere other than the supermarket?
