Movie Made in Jamaica
I often search the guide on my tv for shows about Jamaica and came across this movie Made In Jamaica which explores the roots of Jamaican music from the 70's through today. I don't know much about this subject, besides Bob Marley and I loved this movie and the music! It's been playing on Showtime. Who else has seen this?

I knew nothing about dance hall music and the story of all the violance was really side. It was a side of Jamaica you hear about but don't see.
It was on at 5 am this morning. I'm an early riser : )
I recently bouyght a copy of the Movie "Dr. No" because it took place and was filmed in Jamaica.
I also read the book, Ian Flemming offers a lot of insights into Jamaica - but more the North side of the island.
His place in Jamaica is now a luxury resort.
yes, RUM....I love James Bond flicks...and absolutely love Dr. No...the 1st one.....get good scenery of the coast roads, stacks of Red Stripe cases, and Dunn's River Falls.....also, if you like Roger Moore...Live and Let Die was filmed in Jamaica, too...although the story line is a fictional island run by "Mr. Bigg"...the scene(s) where Bond is checking into his island hotel, then dodges a murder attempt in his suite(by a poisonous snake), was filmed in what is now, Couples San Souci, in Ochi(our reach # 3 spot)
