This falls under category of watch what you wish for. Every year we come to Seasplash and it is always lovely and anyone who's read my posts knows I'm a big fan. And every year husband and I say that we don't understand why everyone doesn't stay here -- just seemed like such a beautiful, lush, comfortable home with the most lovely staff. So now Ted and Jim have taken hold of the place and made it the lively place to be -- and there has been someone to play with every minute! It's amazing how many things they have acocmplished (improvements that is) in such a short time. Literally weeks they have been working on this, maybe 10 weeks? and the new bar is completely constructed -- a real nice very long wood bar. I was thrilled to see that they kept the fabulous carved wood panels that we special-made after Seasplash was rebuilt following Ivan. They took them down to open up the whole patio/beachfront area even more (this was always a great feature, now just bigger and better). But they put them up in 3 sections on the wall behind the long bar -- so beautiful there! It's been three days and I haven't gotten to the upstairs area yet -- all things in good time! That's not completely done, but husband informs me that there is a big horseshoe bar up there. It has always been mostly unused space (just the occasional large party) but we have often gone up there with our drinks for sunset viewing.
OK time to get ready for Donkey races -- throw on (one of my 8 ; )) suits and have some breakfast -- then pick up some local friends (children) and off to the races!
PS the trouble part will have to wait -- but there is great music and lots of drinking and dancing -- husband isn't so used to my cutting lose -- oops! SO many fun people it is just too hard to resist. And why resisit??? We're in Negril!!
More ... ps more boardies are coming here today - have met a couple here -- this too is a rather rare happening, which I like. Oh yes and if you haven't heard him yet, Boombastic bought himself a megaphone and is like a little kid with it. Annoying and fun all at the same time. Making us all laugh though.
