Sorry for the long hiatus folks...but i'm back at it...
hmmmm.... where was I .. oh ya......
"Dayyyyy Three".... Laying in bed every morning and saying those words out loud and then giggling as the flood of memories from the night before fill your head... has to be one of my favourite traditions... hehehe
I love Thursdays in Negril... well, really I love every day in Negrill.... but I love the Canoe web cast, it has always been one of my favourite, and on this particular day was also the day Rastagal was arriving.... so after a full day of beaching it with the girls and solo traveller one of my crew members and Poolguywindsor and his family came with me and off to Canoe we all went.
Oh how I crave Kirby's rum punch at Canoe when I'm in Canada...I run, don't walk to a Canoe Rum Punch... and afterwards I can barely walk.... Ironically it tastes even better when Kirby is there with a big hug to start you off with your first drink....
The afternoon was beautiful and for the first time I snorkeled in front of Canoe with my crew member .. we loved it.....
Before long the web cast was up and running .. and in comes Tanee, Randy, George, Cindy, Tom, Kurt,Ras Walleye and wife, Tic Toc and family, followed closely by Rastagal! Yaaaay, the gangs all here!!! woo hooo...

Another great thing about Thursdays is that its Ladies night at the Jungle... in all the times I had traveled to Negril I had not been to the Jungle and tonight was the night!
Since we were staying at Fun Holiday it was right across the street from The Jungle! The four of us headed across the street just before midnight and the music was off the hook... I love to dance and what a great atmosphere to dance the night away! I don't think I was prepared for the constant male attention. I'm no looker by any means and had previously managed to handle the attention of Jamaican men looking for a bit of fun.. I 'thought' I was pretty well versed with how to handle this.... but I must admit that even I got pretty overwhelmed by the end of the night / morning. I think I have every question down pat.... lol.
All in all a great night of dancing and great music!

Whew! I was relieved that there were no Canoe pics of me because I had been up since 4am that morning and by the time I got to Canoe I was looking pretty rough. LOL.
And did you have to post a pic of the Rum Cream? Really? That's just torture
Enjoying your report...carry on!

No Canoe pics... but the ones from Tic's party are coming up...
Jamaica Bound!
Even worse...that was after up at 4am to catch my flight...drinks at Canoe...LOTS more to drink at Jungle... passed the " I've been awake for 24 hours" mark at Jungle at 4am...slept about 4 hours and ended up at Tic's party at Traveler's. But I had super duper lotsa fun!

New Years Eve was the day I had been looking forward to.... I was going to see Tarrus Riley.... Now some of you know how much I love Tarrus Riley and he has been just out of reach for me with his performances many many times.... its a sad sad tale actually....
.... on one occasion I had prepurchased tickets and traveled to Ottawa ON to see him in a reggae festival only to have the festival close down on the second day (he was to play on the third day)
.... I planned a trip to Negril Jan 7 - 14 last year, just to discover he played on Dec 29th and Jan 15th...sigh...
.... I was booked to go to Montego Bay in April... when I arrived I asked if anyone knew if he was playing.. sure enough he was playing at Pier 1 ... I was on cloud nine... arrived at Pier 1 just to discover he had actually played the night before... (insert tears here)
But with Bnewb's keen eye she noticed in a local news paper that Tarrus was playing at Grand Palladium in Lucea for new years. After inquiring at the front desk and getting confirmation from GP that he was indeed going to be there... it seemed my dreams were going to finally come true. $80 US got us our evening access to the GP and it was worth every penny. It was magical.... the evening started with an amazing dinner with everything from lobster, mussels, steak, every cheese, veg, dessert you could imagine.. and the best coffee we had ever tasted. Although I wouldn't want to stay at the Grand Palladium for a vacation for one night only it was incredible! After dinner we headed to the bar and drank a number of tasty treats....

If that's the case, I should have a Phd by now. Great writing.
"Dayyyy four".....
With having so many boardies (Joe Trinidad + Family+ friends and Poolguywindsor + family) staying at Fun Holiday with us there was never a time where we lacked side-busting laughter and we never lacked a moment for a great photo op .... in particular Joe entertained my camera lens with his daily 'shower show'...

After the 'show' it was time to head to Travellers for Tic Toc's Boardie party!
Sadly the only time it rained for the 2 weeks I was in Negril was for Tic Toc's party.. but like true boardies we made the best of it and drank delicious rum punch from Travellers!!!!
One thing I encourage everyone to do is to go to Travellers and Buy a Brick.. I was able to do that this reach and felt really good about this amazing program. "Run, don't walk to the buy a brick program". Beachgirl66/ Fluffy/Love/Joan..... love these pics.
