my next reach is in 17 short days and i have begun to feel that anxious , hurry up and get here feeling so i thought id take a hint from irie luv and share some stories as well as read some of your stories.. i suck at writing stories but ill try since im planning on writing a trip report..

story #1

My very first trip to negril as an "adult" was last spring break, i consider this my first trip because i dont remember anything about the trips i took as a child. I was only in negril for 5 days, i didnt want to go for longer than that since it was an unfamiliar place (Silly me). After i went through customs my uncle was there to pick me up, i hadn't booked a hotel since i was completely sure i'd dislike orange hill. so my uncle and cousin took me to their house in orange hill, i hated it. it was far from the beach and i didnt see many people, After we got to his house he said he was going to run around town for a little so i made my self comfortable, showered, and fell asleep. I woke up around 5 and my uncle was no where to be found. i went outside and looked around and all i saw was trees and goats.. i called my mom crying.. i cried for about an hour until my uncle came back. the next morning i went exploring and saw more goats and stated crying again.. needless to say i do not like goats. but i learned to love orange hill, its beautiful in the day time.

this must have been in the 90s.me and a close friend went to negril,our buddy was supposed to come the following day.the day of his arrival,we were sitting haveing a beer when he came up to the bar,drunk on his ass,we told him to have a beer and shoot the breeze with us and tell us about his trip down here.he reached for his billfold and discovered it wasnt there,he immedietly got very excited.we got him settled down and went back to tell the owners about it.while walking past his room ,that he now couldnt afford pay for,a man walked up to him and asked him if this billfold was his.well he had the biggest smile on his face as he gave the guy a 50,and went to open the door to his cabin.while he was unlocking his door,a very nice looking woman of the night came up to him and muttered something to him.his big smile got even bigger at that point,and he opened the door. we didnt see him till the next morning.still had that big smile on his face too.

Sad story, First trip for us, 1995. My wife booked our trip with a travel agent (what are those, you say?) as it was to be our second honeymoon. Told her I didn't care where we stayed as long as it was on the beach. Travel agent booked us at a place called Devine Destiny.We were all excited, endured the 2 1/2 hour ride from hell and arrived on the beach road anticipating where our resort was located. Dropped off all the other passengers at the AI resorts and drove what seemed like forever past the beach, past Negril Yacht Club, Heart Beat, Xtabi. Everything along the road looking more and more unbeachlike. Drove up a long trash strewn road and were dumped off at a place that seemed like it was 35 miles from the nearest beach. Got inside what at the time was a very beautiful resort. Found our way around the lay of the land during the week and have not stayed down on the beach for 20 plus trips . The cliffs rock!,,, Happy ending.

this happened about 5 years ago,2 ladies from chicago were down for 2 week vacation.they really partied hard and the wife had to have a little talk to them.telling them to be careful at night.that night they were cutting through the yard to the road,and it was really dark out.they were doing there thing,crossing the yard.they got to the road and wanted to cross.walking along they didnt see a drainage ditch.one of the ladies didnt see it,and walked into it .she tried to step accross it and her ankle twisted and broke.she tried to stop her fall with her hand,and she broke that too.next day,they took her to the doc in sav ,sitting in the back of a pickup,sitting in a chair in the bed of the pick up.but when she finally did get in to see him,the bill came to $400.00 total.that included both casts alll pain pills x rays,docter bill,and hospital bill.she spent the next week in bed in her cabin.
