Question about Xtabi during 3 Dives Jerkfest

I've stayed at Xtabi several times, but never during the 3 Dives Jerk Fest in November. I was hoping there is someone out there that has stayed or visited during this time and can describe how loud it is?
I realize its not going be dead quiet, but I wondered if the music is blasting all day and nite and if its more than one day? Not sure if I would want to stay on the ocean side in a cottage or on the garden side where you at least can have A/C & TV to drown out the noise level.

    Thoughts?

Depends on what room you stay in. Its a party so there is a sound system - if you are staying at a hotel near 3 Dives you'll hear the music to varying degrees. If you stay in one of the rooms at Xtabi across the street the noise will be well minimized. Same if you book the seaside cabins closer to SamSara (I think that's 1, 2 or 3).

The 3 Dives Jerk Fest is geared toward children during the day & the music is more quiet at this time. The music will be louder in the evening...usually ends between midnight & 1am. This is a one day event...the last Sunday in November.

We were at Xtabi last November and stayed in Cottage 3. It was loud but we fell asleep before the music ended. Like Bnewb said I think it ended around midnight. It would never stop me from picking Xtabi.

Why not nap up in the afternoon then join the party that night? Good food and fun.

Thanks everyone for the information. It was extremely helpful. I think its worth staying nearby on the cliffs and we have always liked Xtabi.
We bought a white noise travel machine (its very compact, but does the trick well). We might consider using that for the noise blockage. I'd love to say I'll be awake anywhere near midnight, but that never seems to happen nowadays. I used to hate being that person on vacation who was the first to rise with the sun, and early to bed, but I'm good with that now. Negril mornings are beautiful. So for us a garden room might be better for us.

And who knows if there are any cottages left by the time we finally decide to make that jump we might just bring ear plugs and drink more rum.
